Holiday School
RELEVANCE
The winter school will deliver valuable knowledge and skills so that the learners can excel academically. In addition to the school subjects, the program will cover workshops on academic excellence, having the right attitude towards studies, life skills, problem-solving, critical literacy skills and mentorship.
WHO SHOULD BE ATTENDING
The program will equip learners in Grade 10 -12 with subject content knowledge and conceptual understanding. In addition, learners will be exposed to life skills that will empower them for life. Any learner wanting to improve their subject(s) knowledge, wanting to gain a broader range of skills or just to get a chance to be tutored and mentored by university students and graduates should apply to be part of the holidays School.

R950 per subject or R2000 for 3 subjects.
TUITION & FACILITATION
The subject content will be facilitated by a combination of tertiary staff members, university students, university graduates and practising professionals in various fields. High school subjects available for Grade 10 to 12 learners during the holiday school include:
ACCOUNTING, ECONOMICS, MATHEMATICAL LITERACY, MATHEMATICS, LIFE SCIENCES AND PHYSICAL SCIENCES.

The 10 days Winter School has been started because of the realization that some learners need the extra support and learning opportunities in order for them to start excelling academically at school. Also, because of our work with university students, we have identified areas that can be developed while learners are still at secondary school to prepare them for life after the Grade 12 final exams and for tertiary studies. This is an opportunity for Grade 10 to 12 learners who are prepared to work hard, to learn and to grow.
